Why We Built RubanServe
Every restaurant owner in Trichy knows the struggle - handwritten order slips, paper menus that go out of date, no way to track which items actually make money, and no easy way to send a bill to a customer's WhatsApp.
Existing restaurant software was either too expensive (Rs.5000+ per month), too complex (built for large chains), or not designed for the South Indian restaurant workflow.
RubanServe is our answer - an affordable, mobile-first restaurant platform designed specifically for Tamil Nadu restaurants, hotels, cafes, bakeries, and tea shops. It works on a Rs.5000 Android tablet, supports thermal printers from local vendors, and has a Tamil interface for staff who aren't comfortable with English.
We started with tea shops in Trichy. We're building for every food business in Tamil Nadu.
